According to Easy Weddings, their latest survey of over 4,000 recently married couples found that Australian couples spent an average of $35,315. The category breakdown looks a bit like this:

  • Venue - $15,987

  • Celebrant - $924

  • Photographer - $3,389

  • Florist - $2,444

  • Bridal gown - $2,502

  • Bridesmaid dresses - $806

  • Cars - $1,192

  • Videographer - $3,389

  • DJ / Band - $2,037

  • Catering - $6,308

  • Hire - $2,421

  • Grooms formal wear - $2,169

  • Decorations - $2,443

  • Invitations - $945

  • Cake - $650

  • Hair & Make up - $895

  • Photo booth - $1,007

  • Favours - $889
