Nestled in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West, The Grounds of Alexandria stands as a testament to industrial history softened by a lush, wild embrace. For Rhianna and Ca Ri’s 2025 celebration, I had the pleasure of designing Garden Room wedding flowers that mirrored the vibrant energy of their love story.

The Garden Room is an urban sanctuary, aptly named for its floor to ceiling greenery and an intimate, glass-house atmosphere. A celebration here is steeped in rustic elegance—a place where there is a promise of a night to remember.

Stepping into the Garden Room is like entering a secret botanical kingdom. To honor this, my floral aesthetic leaned into garden-style design – moving away from rigid structures and toward arrangements that felt gathered, organic, and effortlessly chic.

I curated a spirited mix of punchy, vivid tones that danced against the venue’s signature emerald vines. Instead of traditional centerpieces, I styled a whimsical collection of colorful bud vases. This allowed the delicate architecture of each stem to be appreciated up close. To complement the Garden Room wedding flowers, I wove a tapestry of flickering tea lights and pillar candles across the tables, creating a golden, ethereal glow as twilight descended.

There is a specific magic that happens at The Grounds when the sun sets. Rhianna and Ca Ri shared their first dance under a living ceiling of twisting vines and crystal chandeliers, a moment framed by earthy textures and botanical charm.

I have styled many weddings in this space, yet no two are ever the same. The Garden Room acts as a versatile canvas, beautifully absorbing every unique color story and floral whim. For this day, the marriage of bold blooms and industrial-chic architecture created something truly unforgettable.
