Elizabeth Bay House Wedding Flowers in a Modern Garden Style

A refined celebration at Elizabeth Bay House, brought to life through thoughtfully composed Elizabeth Bay House wedding flowers that honour both the grandeur and intimacy of this remarkable heritage setting.

Ceremony Venue – Elizabeth Bay House

Perched above Sydney Harbour, Elizabeth Bay House offers a rare kind of atmosphere- one where history lingers softly in every room, and light spills across intricate architectural details. Perfectly suited to smaller, more intimate gatherings, the space invites a considered approach to florals – designs that feel abundant yet restrained, modern yet entirely at home within its storied walls.

For the ceremony, the Elizabeth Bay House wedding flowers unfolded in a palette of whites, ivories, and layered greens – a modern garden style designed to feel as though it had naturally grown into place. Two generous gold urns, elevated on plinths, overflowed with roses, dahlias, delphiniums, scabiosa, cosmos, and trailing pittosporum. At the base of the grand staircase, the design softened into a grounded moment: a garden of blooms cascading across the lower treads, creating a seamless transition between architecture and nature, as though the florals had gently wandered indoors.

Delicate, airy bud vases styled in a modern garden aesthetic served as a whimsical accent for the ceremony signing, later finding a second home atop the fireplace mantle to add a layer of romance to the reception.

Reception Venue – No 92 GPR, Glebe

The reception, held at on.92 GPR in Glebe, shifted in tone while maintaining a sense of cohesion. Here, the palette deepened into rich reds and warm golds, offering a more intimate, atmospheric mood. Bud vases drawn from the bride’s own collection of gold and brass vessels were arranged along the tables, each holding a single, sculptural stem. Amaranthus draped elegantly, spider orchids added a contemporary edge, while ranunculus, chocolate cosmos, and burgundy Queen Anne’s lace brought softness and movement – each element carefully chosen to echo the modern garden style in a more refined, minimal expression.

Together, the ceremony and reception florals told a cohesive story—one that moved effortlessly from airy romance to moody elegance, all grounded in the beauty and versatility of Elizabeth Bay House wedding flowers.
