Set in the rolling hills of the Southern Highlands, Bendooley Estate in Berrima offers a setting that feels both expansive and deeply intimate. Just 90 minutes from Sydney, it is home to two distinct venues – The Book Barn and The Stables – each with its own character. For this wedding celebration, The Stables provided the perfect canvas: a space defined by cathedral ceilings, a striking iron fireplace, and a wall of windows that flood the room with soft country light. The aesthetic is unmistakably refined rural glamour – timeless, yet quietly modern.

Ceremonies unfold either within the gardens or in front of the grand stable doors, where an overhead floral installation transforms the space into something truly immersive. Inside, the reception design echoed this sense of considered abundance. A suspended floral installation of eucalyptus gum and trailing foliage hovered above the tables and the dance floor, drawing the eye upward and softening the scale of the Stables. Below, tables were adorned with flowing foliage runners, creating an effortless continuation of the landscape beyond the windows.

Against the rustic, grand doors of The Stables, Cherylyn and Iain shared their vows beneath a breathtaking floral ring. This suspended floral installation was a study in texture, blending iconic Australian natives, like king protea and kangaroo paw, with the soft, classic elegance of lush garden roses. The palette of deep reds, delicate pinks, and creamy ivory created a striking focal point that felt both grounded in the Southern Highlands landscape and deeply romantic.
