Gathered Floral was born from my love of creating wedding and events floral arrangements. My design aesthetic is soft, romantic and garden inspired. I love working with colour and texture and base my work on old garden inspired designs where the elements are effortlessly Gathered together. While being based in Sydney's inner west, I also love to work at wedding venues on the South Coast, Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley and the Blue Mountains.
After spending 22 years in banking with roles in internal audit and operational risk management, I threw caution to the wind and left a reliable corporate job and forayed into small business. Armed with a Certificate III in Floristry and combined with undergrad and postgrad degrees in Business and Accounting, I hit the ground running and opened a retail shopfront in Sydney's Inner West. I delivered my bouquets all over Sydney for a few years and now I only work on wedding and event flowers.
I'm happily married to my soul mate, a mum to 3 grown up children, nana to 2 grand kids and a dog mum to a beautiful dalmatian. I'm authentic, compassionate, empathetic and focussed. I passionately love creating wedding flowers and carefully consider the placement of every bloom. Each colour, hue and tone is purposeful and conveys my heartfelt emotion. I'm not afraid to stand out or stand on my own. I'm resilient and have a never say never attitude.
